I really wanted to love these. They are such a great concept. Unfortunately, they are not going to last. They started to show wear after the first week of school. It has now been 3 weeks (13 school days), and they are looking really rough. They do not stick well to my carpet. Most are scratched up and are fraying around the edges. Part of the notes are coming off of two of them.
I love this business and will continue to support it, but am disappointed in the quality of these spots. I was really hoping they would at least last for a long time-at least the whole school year.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful and honest review, and especially for including photos! These Music Markers are a brand new product for us, so your feedback is incredibly helpful as we continue to refine them. :)
We’re disappointed to see the wear you experienced after such a short time. In our testing, the velcro held strongly to several types of carpet commonly found in schools, but we’re learning that carpet types can vary quite a bit. If the markers aren’t able to adhere securely to a particular carpet, the additional movement from walking/students may also contribute to faster wear and fraying around the edges. This is definitely something we’ll continue working on!
We’ve reached out to you directly and are providing a full refund. We’ll also be sharing what we’ve learned from your experience with our manufacturer as we continue tweaking and improving these for the future.
Thank you again for giving our Music Markers a try and for supporting our small business. We truly appreciate your support and your honest feedback! 🎶
I love them! I hope I can post a Pic of how great they look.
Sticks great! Symbols are clear and bold. Only thing I would change is that the yellow and the green are too close in hue, many students think the light green is yellow.
I like the variety of colors, but mine didn’t even last one day before they started to come off the floor, and curl up.
They are great and the kids are loving them. I only wish there were 6 per color. I’m worried about “pickers” haha.
My students love these! I also love how they stick to the carpet nicely without coming up when students sit on them. I have two sets, one for each of my classrooms they are that awesome!
I LOVE this design and I cannot wait to use them in my classroom, and I completely agree with Naomi who commented about have the symbol match the color, it limits my options on seating arrangements because I have double classes that come to me!
I love that things like this are being made. I was hoping I would be able to use these for my seating chart, but the same note value on the same color doesn’t work well for what I was trying to do. Other than that, the quality is great and the notes are very clear. Keep making great resources for us music teachers!
The sit spots are great! they stick so well to my short haired carpet in my classroom.
Amazing sit spots!!!!! I love the colors and it can be used as a teaching tool! If you have carpet, you need these!
Good quality! Can't wait to use them in my first classroom!
My son who is a music teacher loved the product
Awesome! Cant wait to use these!
